I have learnt that I need to change my language for the piece of writing I am doing, not just the tone. I have also become more confident in using 'fancier' words to make the writing interesting.
What I feel like I still can't do is tell whether something is a certain grade. If the project were to carry on that would definitely be something that I need to improve on.

Animal Takeover
AUDIENCE: middle aged, animal loving people.

Did you know? That there used to be over 15,000 Grevy’s zebras but now there are just 2,500 remaining today. That on Santa Cruz Island the Channel Island fox has fallen from 1,500 to fewer than 100 animals with-in a five year period.
But of course you didn’t. It feels almost too late for these animals now and again. This is probably because we only hear a certain number of the endangered animal population calling for our help. We all know the tiger, the dolphin and the killer whale are in troubling times. We can’t help but know it with all of those charities pleading for support while we sit in our own comfort and watch the TV. While we sit there in our gluttony a lot of people may shrug their shoulders at such things as the WWF but worry when they see children in third world countries. Now that just is not fair.
There are people out there that do help the animals, but I haven’t seen a big animal charity having a night on the boxes that we all enjoy so much. But for charities aimed at the human population just happens to have many. How are people meant to find out about the serious problem that has occurred because of our hunger to live in complete luxury in a short advert? It isn’t really possible.
Don’t get me wrong, comic relief and children in need do an amazing job. Their work really helps. All the animal adoring public are asking for is a similar opportunity in the UK that they get in America. During my research I discovered that the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) have carried one out. It was on channel 7; pointless. Having it on the BBC will optimise the affect.

It's the Human Race
Akanni Asraf, Danlandi Chikyo and Chinwe Nazaraf were all brutally attacked and kidnapped last night. It is believed that this happened due to the racial discrimination that these people have been affected by. The discrimination has been brought on by the apartheid in South Africa.
Akanni Asraf was last seen in the early hours of Saturday morning. He was leaving his house to go to a local church service, when two men of white race, pulled him by the collar of his shirt and attacked him in the middle of Salum Square. His head was severely kicked; giving him a broken skull and nose. But who cared? He was taken in the back of a grey jeep to an unknown destination.
Danlandi Chikyo, the second victim was last seen entering his house on Saturday night at around 23:20. There were then loud screams heard from across the street. As people looked out their windows, all that could be seen were two white men carrying a body in a blanket. It is still not known whether the body was alive or not.
Chinwe Nazaraf, the third victim reported so far, was last seen on her way to work. She was driving a silver Nissan Micra which was broken into when parked at traffic lights. She was hit round the head several times with a metal bar, forced to the ground with leather boots and punched in the fist three times. This left her barely able to breathe, with a punctured lung and various other injuries. The reported criminals attacking Nazaraf were said to be two white men in grey jeep. It is almost certain that these are the same men as the previous two crimes.
Police are requesting for any witnesses to step forward to share their sightings. Have you seen a suspicious grey jeep? If you wish to contact the police, dial 08964276543 for the witness care unit.
